I am currently based in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Photography feeds my soul and balances out a demanding day job in a busy corporate sales office. I began to take a serious interest in photography back in 2004 with a compact camera and moved up to a DSLR in 2005. Since September 2007, I always carry a camera with me - at least a compact camera or more recently an iPhone.

Cameras: Past and Present

• Canon 50D
• Canon 350D - battered and on it's last legs (autofocus seems to be bust - but it's handy when I am hesitant to take out my new DSLR and it forces me to practice manual focus)
• Canon EF-S 17-85mm, Sigma 30mm 1.4, Canon 50mm 1.8
• Lensbaby Composer - with several spare lens caps - they seem to have an affinity with canals and are not readily available in Amsterdam.
• Canon G11 - it has a neck-strap which you don't find on every compact camera - critical when shooting near canals
• Canon IXUS 980 - sadly resting at the bottom of a canal
• Canon Powershot A80 - has long since expired in an electronic fizz
• iPhone

Photo Usage

This is a personal collection of photos intended for sharing with family, friends and other photo enthusiasts. Nevertheless if you are thinking of using my images please take the time and consideration to contact me regarding licensing them - because let’s face it, photographer’s always need a little extra cash for gear and it is great feedback too. All images are my own work unless otherwise stated. I will consider providing images for non-commercial / personal use at an affordable charge or no charge.
